Its Christmas eve and one thing's for sure here in New England, the boating season is OVER for 2009. The scene this morning from the deck outside my office sums it up. Nothing in sight but shrink-wrapped boats all covered in snow. Brrrrrrrrr!

Well since there's not much boating going on right now and the world is packing it in to celebrate the holidays with family and friends, I'm going to do the same. But, beginning on December 28th, I'm going to use this downtime to get started on a new series to help you get through the Winter, at least until the Miami Boat Show, where I'll be gathering new information and material for the 2010 boating season. Now's the time of year to hunker down and get educated.

Most all boater's seem to have an electrical multi-meter on board. Trouble is, most boaters don't really know how to use it very effectively. So, beginning next Monday, I'll start a series showing you step by step how to use this tool to actually do something besides impress your buddies with the fact that you actually own one.
